Friday, Dec. 25

Our baby time was quite memorable today. We stood side by side and rocked our baby to sleep singing our own version of “Rock-a-bye Baby.” She awoke briefly, looked into Wendy’s eyes, smiled, touched her face, and gently fell back to sleep. It was a real Mommy moment. We also were fortunate to meet another of our baby’s caregivers.

We wandered through the outdoor bazaar, with an array of colors and scents. We found citrus, roots and grains, but Wendy’s really missing the raw greens/veggies/fruits of “Whole Foods.” In the spirit of the Christmas day, we were pleasantly surprised to find a gift wrapped fruit cake from the hotel staff.

This is a beautiful and wonderful story. You will have years of happiness and joy with your new baby. Hope that you get back to the USA soon, but enjoy your time in this different part of the world. Congratulations.

  2. Wendy & Joe,
I am soooooo excited for you guys. I've been thinking of you, and hoping you two might get your little girl before the New Year.
The two of you look like pros with your little girl, and she looks like she's right at home, where she's always wanted to be, in your arms.
    Peace and love,
    Karen
