Friday, Dec. 18 - Saturday, Dec. 19

Our visit was filled with more fun and nurturing time with our baby. She had just awoken from her nap, so was a little sleepy. But she happily greeted us with a big smile, and the fun began-- tummy, sitting, rolling, and lots of holding. She has an amazingly strong grip whether when holding her rattle or one of our fingers. Don’t worry, we won’t let go. She’s equally good with both hands, so Joe’s excited because he thinks she may become a switch hitter.

With a recent snowfall and below zero weather, we zipped up and ventured out to take some photos of the center of the city. Lots of festive decorations lined the streets, including an enormous Santa and Mrs. Claus. We saw children being pulled along on their sleds, and more monuments covered with snow.

Later that evening, after numerous photos, videos, and emails, we got word from our US docs that our precious little baby was healthy. All the anxiety of the past two weeks lifted, as our hearts filled with gratitude and joy.
