I’m spending my days preparing for our baby at the hotel. I went through my own version of the “Three Bears,” but with cribs rather than beds. The first was too low, the second was missing slats, and the third one is just right-- sturdy enough, a reachable height, and nestled next to my bed with a pretty, pink (of course) sheet. Joe is doing an amazing job of putting together our baby’s very girly, pink and white nursery. Sorry Joe, no Cubs’ blue just yet. Uncle Jim helped him put together the crib, while Aunt Aleen and Wendy’s aunts are planning a special family Valentine’s baby shower.
I’ve been enlisting our driver to stop for more photos in the frigid cold. Just had to take some shots of the timeless “CocaCola” logo, reminiscent of my earlier design days. I really wanted a shot of the outside water pumps, which I initially found interesting. But, as our driver got out to fill with water his large container from his trunk, I realized that this point of “interest” to me, is a mainstay for many residents here. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the ease of our bathrooms/showers, and I hope to never complain again about needing to use bottled water for brushing teeth.
